Goals of the job:
-To expand sales of company products in UK
-To strengthen / consolidate the market position / image in the UK market
-To meet UK fiscal targets
-To support sales activities on international markets where necessary
Role Requirements
Competencies / Responsibilities:
-Is authorised to issue quotations according to price lists and specifications
-Is authorised to agree sales and payment conditions according to guidelines
-Is authorised to conclude sales according to the above listed conditions
-Is responsible for the adherence of the sales and cost budgets for the UK established by the Management
-Is responsible for the correct and professional handling of the duties entrusted
Tasks:
-To successfully and efficiently sell the entire range into pharmaceuticals, generics, CROs, CMOs and test analysis sites
-To compile and define configurations for quotations
-To monitor and process pending customer enquiries and quotations from his field operations
-To sell conceptually
-To advise customers
-To acquire new customers
-To maintain regular contact with customers
-To efficiently plan and implement day to day customer meetings
-To efficiently plan and carry out business trips according to requirements
-To perform technical presentations on customers’ premises
-To assist in the installation of systems or units and instruct their users
-To attend trade fairs and exhibitions
-To organise and run seminars, presentations, and roadshows on a regular basis
-To define user requirements and report back to the Head of Sales & Marketing BUE
-To monitor the market situation and developmental trends and to keep the Head of Sales and Marketing BUE informed regarding the competition: prices, technology, service, image activities etc.
-To submit a monthly report including a forecast for the next 3 months to the Head of Sales & Marketing MUE every first working day of the following month.
Person Specifications
– Significant Experience selling into the Pharmaceutical/Life Science market
– Capital Equipment sales experience is desirable but not essential
– Will also consider consumables or services sales experience
– Autonomous
– Organised
