Clarapath joins Mayo Clinic to improve pathological tissue processing
According to Clarapath, laboratories have been processing tissue samples for with the goal of detecting cancer and other illnesses using time-consuming, hands-on methods for many years. Labour limitations, issues with quality assurance, and the steadily rising amount of data mean that labs need to be creative in order to increase the consistency and effectiveness of glass slide creation for clinical inspection.
Robotics, computational AI, and integrated histopathology processes are used in Clarapath’s SectionStar. This is a computerised system that cuts, transfers, and maintains the slides so they are consistent, providing measured quality indicators.
This can drastically cut down on human error and participation while also speeding up sample processing.
Through this strategic partnership, Mayo Clinic’s clinical insights and knowledge are combined with Clarapath’s cutting-edge tissue solution and market specialists. This will allow labs from around the world to digitally revolutionise their histology procedures in terms of reliability, security, expense production.
CEO of Clarapath stated: “Laboratories, like manufacturing plants, need constant innovation and modernization. With SectionStar, leaders can now reimagine the histology process to keep up with increasing caseloads and shrinking workforces. This will help patients get quicker test results and more immediate access to care.”
