FDA Approves Brainomix’s AI Software

The FDA has approved the UK AI business Brainomix’s Lung Imaging AI Software for sale. This approval comes after a research shown that AI devices can accurately identify Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Utilising unique imaging indicators, the Brainomix software is engineered to identify symptoms of Interstitial Lung diseases, a wide range of over 200 illnesses. It does this by analysing CT images to measure pulmonary fibrosis along with additional relevant parameters.

The FDA approved the equipment after an experiment reported in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. The research indicated that the tool outperformed traditional measurements to detecting individuals who were in danger of IPF development.
