New Recyclable Medical Packaging Plan Launched by CIPPPA

7th May 2024

A new collaborative approach has been launched to address challenges surrounding the recycling of medicine packaging.

A novel joint strategy has been introduced to tackle issues related to the disposal and recycling of pharmaceutical packaging.

In order to bring together stakeholders from all points of the pharmacy supply chain and collaborate on the creation and execution of approaches to recycling principal pharmaceutical packaging, the CIPPPA project was started.

Community Pharmacy England is a professional advisory affiliate of CIPPPA, as are organisations like NHS England and MHRA.

Using the knowledge of team members, CIPPPA’s work will be concentrated on three operational task groups that are charged with packaging solutions made for blisters, inhalers, and injectables.
