ACCC Introduces Flatiron Technology to their Cancer Centre System
The ACCC will incorporate Flatiron Health’s technology, which links digital medical records and digital information collected in clinical trials, into its system of community cancer centres. This announcement was made in a statement issued on May 13. The deal’s economic terms weren’t publicised.
“This partnership with ACCC has myriad benefits, with one of the most important being the ability to reduce research staff workloads,” Head of research oncology in the clinical research unit at Flatiron, Stated.
Under the terms of the agreement, the ACCC will incorporate a system known as “Flatiron Clinical Pipe.” By integrating clinical trial EDC technology with EHRs, the software simplifies clinical trial operations by requiring medical information obtained at the time of treatment to be input into a single system rather than two. The software is designed to manage “unstructured” information, such paper test written notes, as well as organised data, like lab recordings.
