Heartland Dental and Concorde Colleges Join Forces

5th August 2024

Heartland Dental and Concorde Career Colleges, the healthcare education branch of Universal Technical Institute, Inc., confirmed that they are collaborating to create the first-ever co-branded campus for dental assistant and dental hygiene programs.

The goal of the cooperation is to aid in meeting the substantial need for dental assistants and hygienists in certain markets that practices sponsored by Heartland Dental are experiencing. Concorde’s curriculum, teachers, and student support services will be used at the first campus, which will be operational in autumn 2025 in Fort Myers, Florida, to train as many as 120 dental hygienists and 72 dental assistants yearly. The whole building cost, involving the purchase of durable equipment and starting supplies, is being covered by Heartland Dental.

Dental assistants and hygienists are expected to see stronger job growth nationally between 2022 and 2032—7% quicker than average for every job category. Dental assistants and hygienists in Florida are expected to see 15.7% and 15.8% increase in employment, accordingly, between 2023 and 2031.
