Stereotaxis Surgical Robot Gains CE Mark
In an effort to increase revenue, Stereotaxis has obtained the CE certification for its most recent robotic surgical system in Europe. This system is intended for simpler installation. The business released its first two robotic platforms, Genesis in 2020 and the Niobe system in 2003. GenesisX is its third platform.
CEO David Fischel stated: “We have had hundreds of physicians express genuine interest in our technology since launching Genesis. Over 95% never end up getting the robot.”
He continued: “The single largest impediment is the reliance on hospital construction and the long-extended timeline that creates, along with the complexity of translating physician clinical interest into full organizational movement at the hospital.”
By the end of the year, the device is anticipated to receive FDA authorisation. According to Stereotaxis, the Magic ablation catheter, which is compatible, is getting closer to regulatory clearance in both Europe and the United States.
