The Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact Expands

By facilitating the process of obtaining work authorization for dentist and dental hygienists in member states, the DDH Compact seeks to facilitate the mobilisation of workers. Ensuring the efficacy and security of services rendered by collaborating dentists will be one of the commission’s responsibilities. The commission will be composed of representatives from each of the states.

Colorado Dental Association explained: “Our respective associations work tirelessly to promote creative solutions to workforce development. By reducing barriers to licensure portability, Colorado dentists and dental hygienists will now enjoy greater mobility and less burden of maintaining multiple licences in several states.”

The US Department of Defence supports interstate compacts because they lessen the burden on spouses of military personnel to obtain a licence. This compact might expedite dental treatment in state border areas.
