Technical Sales Advisor
Role Overview
Work in a fast-growing company with an established US office in Rhode Island. This is a highly technical field that offers the opportunity to work with some of the biggest and most cutting edge technology and aerospace companies in the world. This position requires sales staff to build and maintain relationship with both new and existing customers through regular communication and excellent customer service. To meet or exceed sales target’s. Increase knowledge of customer industry and sector and ensure the highest levels of customer care, technical knowledge and advice.
Role Requirements
Responsibilities:
– To provide specialist technical advice in Optics and associated products
– To provide technical sales support and advice to customers
– Research and develop new product ideas
– Seek new key suppliers and maintain supplier database within SAP Business 1
– Answer technical queries applicable to optics
– Produce quotes
– Support the sales team with technical support
– Seek to find solutions to technical problems
– Seek the development or sourcing of new products and ideas that can be commercialized

Person Specifications
Key Skills Required:
A degree in a scientific, engineering or business related discipline (full sales and product training is provided)
An interest in science and technology
Experience working in B2B sales
Knowledge of Excel
Knowledge of Word
SAP Business 1 experience or ability to learn
Good Communication skills
Excellent telephone manner
Sales Skills (Training will be given to right candidate)
Good organizational skills
Package
Base salary up to $80,000 dependent on experience
Uncapped commission scheme (likely to be $25,000 – $35,000 in first year)
