PolyScience Unveils PolyTemp Temperature Circulator Range

29th July 2026

PolyScience has launched the PolyTemp range of constant temperature circulators, a US-designed and manufactured platform of recirculating baths for laboratory, industrial and research temperature control. Announced on 17 July 2026, the launch introduces a tiered Good/Better/Best product architecture, with precision stability up to ±0.004°C and low-GWP refrigerants including natural options, extending PolyScience’s positioning across analytical instrumentation, biotech research, chemical processing and industrial quality control markets.

The PolyTemp platform is organised into three performance tiers: MX (Good) delivers reliable, cost-effective performance for everyday temperature control workflows; DX (Better) adds enhanced digital control and expanded capability for more demanding processes; and PX (Best) provides advanced programmability, connectivity and precision for complex or highly regulated applications. Across the range, the units combine enhanced pump performance with higher pressure and flow rates for faster heat transfer, a full-colour multilingual touchscreen interface, WhisperCool Technology for reduced operating noise, and robust engineering for continuous, around-the-clock use. The tiered approach lets laboratories match specification to workflow without paying for unused capability.

The launch also anchors PolyScience’s sustainability positioning, incorporating low global warming potential (low-GWP) refrigerants, including natural refrigerant options, at a moment when European F-gas regulation and equivalent US and Asia-Pacific policy pressure are reshaping refrigerant selection across laboratory hardware. Philip Preston, President of PolyScience, framed the platform as reflecting a commitment to smarter rather than simply higher performance, focusing on matching capability to application rather than over-engineering. Target applications span analytical instrument detector cooling, chemical processing and reaction control, medical and biotech research workflows, food science testing and industrial quality control.

The commercial signal is the mid-tier lab equipment category being reshaped by regulatory pressure on refrigerants and by growing demand for precision-matched-to-application procurement. PolyScience’s tiered approach directly addresses the mid-range procurement challenge. Expect Peter Huber, Julabo, Thermo Fisher, Cole-Parmer and Grant Instruments to sharpen their own sustainability and tiered-product positioning across the temperature control category through 2026 and 2027.
