SprintRay Launches Foundation Scanner, Nano Chairside System
SprintRay has launched Foundation, its first full-colour wireless intra-oral scanner, alongside the Nano Series compact chairside 3D printing system, marking a substantial category expansion for the historically print-focused dental technology company. Announced at 3DNext 2026 in Miami Beach on 26 October 2026, the launch extends SprintRay from standalone 3D printing into a full end-to-end chairside digital dentistry workflow, with first shipments due in November 2026.
Foundation is a full-colour wireless intra-oral scanner built for ScanOS, SprintRay’s scanning software integrated into the company’s cloud dashboard with a “Scan” tab alongside design and production tools. The Nano Series is a compact chairside system comprising NanoPrint (3D printer with a 385nm light engine), NanoWash (automated washing and drying) and NanoCure (post-polymerisation), with AutoPrint and Job Handoff software features carrying case information between steps. Foundation first shipments are expected in November 2026 in the US, with EMEA availability in Q1 2027. Nano Series shipments begin in November 2026 in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the EU, subject to regional regulatory requirements, with NanoWash excluded from the Canadian launch offering.
SprintRay also introduced GC GRADIA PREMi in partnership with GC Corp, a hybrid ceramic restorative resin for the SprintRay Midas Digital Press workflow, initially available in the US pending GC’s final labelling and regulatory review. Dr Amir Mansouri, co-founder and CEO of SprintRay, positioned the launches around the integration of scanning, design, printing and finishing steps under a single cloud ecosystem. SprintRay’s analysis indicates that more than 80% of chairside print jobs involve a single patient and a single case, supporting the small-footprint Nano design rationale. More than 20 million dental parts have been produced across SprintRay’s ecosystem to date.
The commercial signal is a substantive category expansion from standalone 3D printing into end-to-end chairside digital dentistry workflow, with Foundation and Nano Series positioning SprintRay as a full ecosystem player rather than a point-solution vendor. November 2026 launch timing anchors near-term adoption. Expect sustained momentum across chairside digital dentistry workflow integration through 2027.
