AGFA Lands Infirmary Health US Enterprise Imaging Deal
AGFA HealthCare has been selected by Infirmary Health, Alabama’s largest not-for-profit non-governmental healthcare provider, to deploy its Enterprise Imaging Cloud SaaS platform across the health system. Announced on 26 October 2026, the deal covers an initial radiology and mammography deployment integrated with Infirmary’s existing Epic electronic health record, and lays the foundation for a broader Enterprise Imaging strategy across hospital, outpatient and remote reading environments.
The AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging Cloud is a fully managed, cloud-delivered SaaS platform combining diagnostic imaging, intelligent workflow orchestration, vendor-neutral image management and Epic integration. Under the agreement, AGFA will manage the platform and its ongoing evolution, allowing Infirmary Health’s IT and clinical teams to focus on care delivery rather than maintaining on-premises imaging infrastructure. Workflow orchestration will coordinate case assignment and balance workload across the radiology team, giving the organisation more consistent and efficient radiology workflows at scale. Infirmary Health serves all counties across the Alabama Gulf Coast.
Kenny Breal, Vice President of Clinical Operations at Infirmary Health, positioned the deployment around a more consistent and efficient imaging environment that improves the experience for radiologists whether reading on-site or remotely. Omar Sunna, Chief Customer Officer for North America at AGFA HealthCare, framed radiologist productivity and satisfaction as a central strategic driver, with health systems investing in Enterprise Imaging platforms to reduce complexity and adapt as imaging volumes and care models evolve. The deal reflects a broader US health system trend away from fragmented, siloed departmental imaging systems toward unified cloud-delivered Enterprise Imaging platforms, driven by rising imaging volumes, remote reading demand, outpatient care shift, and Epic ecosystem alignment. Contract value and implementation timeline were not disclosed.
The commercial signal is an accelerating US Enterprise Imaging modernisation cycle where regional health systems are migrating from on-premises PACS to cloud-delivered SaaS platforms, with workflow orchestration and Epic integration central to procurement decisions. The Infirmary Health deployment anchors AGFA’s North America commercial trajectory into 2027. Expect sustained US Enterprise Imaging cloud adoption and continued investment in radiologist workflow optimisation through 2027.
