Waters Q2 2026 Beats Estimates, Raises FY26 Guidance

7th August 2026

Waters Corporation has reported second quarter 2026 revenue of $1.645 billion, exceeding the high end of guidance, and raised all components of its full-year 2026 outlook. Announced on 4 August 2026, the results reflect Waters’ first full quarter with the acquired BD Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions businesses and mark a return to broader-based end-market growth across pharma, academia and government segments.

Organic revenue of $828 million grew 7% as reported and 9% in constant currency, with the Analytical Sciences Division (ASD) delivering 8% instrument growth and double-digit chemistry consumables growth led by low-double-digit growth in both pharma and academia and government end markets. Revenue from the acquired Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions businesses reached $817 million, exceeding guidance by $15 million. Adjusted EPS of $3.05 landed at the high end of guidance, while GAAP EPS reflected a $1.39 loss driven by acquisition-related purchase accounting. Waters now expects full-year 2026 organic constant currency revenue growth of 7% to 9%, total reported revenue between $6.415bn and $6.476bn, and adjusted EPS between $14.45 and $14.65.

The reorganised segment structure reveals the reshaping of Waters: ASD delivered $669m, the Biosciences Division (formerly BD Biosciences) delivered $368m, the Advanced Diagnostics Division delivered $521m, and the Materials Sciences Division (formerly TA Instruments) delivered $87m. CEO Udit Batra framed the quarter as reflecting broadening end-market recovery, faster-than-expected BDS acceleration to mid-single-digit growth under Waters’ 180-day revitalisation plan, and momentum across portfolio synergies.

The commercial signal is a fully reshaped Waters emerging from its transformational BDS acquisition with faster-than-expected integration, broadening end-market recovery and materially expanded portfolio depth across analytical, biosciences, diagnostics and materials sciences. The guidance raise strengthens Waters’ competitive positioning against Agilent, Thermo Fisher, Shimadzu and Danaher heading into H2 2026 and 2027.
