Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, validation, maintenance, and support of environmental monitoring systems used within regulated scientific environments. Supporting customers across the UK, you will ensure critical systems operate reliably and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Role Requirements
Install, commission, validate, and maintain environmental monitoring systems and scientific equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair activities to ensure reliable system performance.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, networking, and system-related faults.
Conduct validation activities and maintain associated documentation in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support and customer training while working closely with internal project and technical teams.
Deliver a high standard of customer service while supporting customers across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, and research facilities throughout the UK.
Person Specifications
The successful candidate will possess a strong engineering background, excellent fault-finding skills, and a proactive approach to customer support.
Essential Requirements:
Experience servicing, installing, maintaining, or commissioning technical equipment.
Strong electrical or electro-mechanical fault-finding skills.
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
A flexible approach to travel and working hours.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK, including overnight stays.
Desirable Experience:
Calibration and/or validation activities.
GMP, GLP, or other regulated working environments.
Scientific, laboratory, or medical device equipment.
Environmental monitoring systems.
Temperature-controlled or refrigeration equipment.
Networking, wireless technologies, or sensor-based systems.
Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or research environments.

Package
Salary dependent on experience: £40,000-£45,000, with flexibility up to £50,000 for GMP/GLP validation experience.
Accrued overnight stay bonus plus company bonus scheme.
Quarterly performance bonus of up to £2,000 per annum.
Hotel stay bonus of £250-£1,500 per quarter.
Company laptop and phone reimbursement.

All business travel expenses covered (mileage allowance).
Tools and uniform provided.
Voluntary on-call opportunities.
Six-month and annual salary reviews with opportunity for salary progression.
