Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and technical support of chromatography systems across your assigned territory. This role combines hands-on engineering, customer support, and system optimisation to ensure reliable instrument performance within laboratory, research, and industrial environments.

Role Requirements
Provide installation, maintenance, repair, and technical support for chromatography systems throughout the assigned territory.
Deliver on-site support and basic user training for HPLC and flash chromatography systems incorporating UV and ELSD detection technologies.
Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the service function.
Work closely with commercial colleagues to support customer satisfaction, equipment performance, and territory growth objectives.
Provide support across the wider UK operation when required, maintaining flexibility to travel outside the primary territory.
Participate in team meetings and cross-functional activities to ensure consistent, high-quality customer support.
Person Specifications
Previous Field Service experience within a laboratory environment is desirable.
Field Service experience within medical, scientific, analytical, or related technical sectors is desirable.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a field-based role.
Customer-focused with a professional and supportive approach to both internal and external stakeholders.
Committed to working in accordance with company procedures and standards.
Outgoing, collaborative, and comfortable working as part of a wider team.
Enthusiastic about field-based engineering and technical problem solving.
Package
Basic salary up to £42,000 dependent on experience.
Annual bonus of £2,000-£5,000 based on service department revenue, paid quarterly.
Company car.
Laptop and mobile phone provided.
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
