An opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Technician to join a growing UK service team, supporting critical environmental monitoring and scientific equipment across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, and research facilities. This role is focused on ensuring system reliability, compliance, and performance through installation, validation, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting activities.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their UK service team with the addition of a Field Service Technician.
Role Requirements
Perform installation, calibration, validation, preventative maintenance, and repair activities across environmental monitoring and scientific equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, networking, and system-related faults to maintain reliable equipment performance.
Support customers with system operation, user guidance, and technical training where required.
Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism while working across regulated scientific environments.
Ensure all service activities are completed in accordance with company procedures, validation requirements, and customer expectations.
Support a range of technologies including environmental monitoring systems, temperature monitoring systems, cryogenic storage monitoring, incubators, water baths, freezers, cold storage equipment, room monitoring systems, and wireless sensor technologies.
This position involves regular UK-wide travel and overnight stays, supporting customers across pharmaceutical manufacturing, life science research and healthcare facilities.
Person Specifications
We are interested in speaking with technically capable engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, working independently, and delivering high-quality customer support.
Essential:
Electrical or electro-mechanical engineering experience.
Experience installing, servicing, or maintaining technical equipment.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability.
Ability to work independently within a field-based environment.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK, including overnight stays.
Desirable:
Experience with scientific, laboratory, or medical device equipment.
Knowledge of refrigeration, environmental monitoring, or temperature-controlled systems.
Understanding of networking, wireless systems, or sensor technologies.
Experience working within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or regulated laboratory environments.
Package
Base salary up to £45,000.
Quarterly performance bonus of up to £500 per quarter (£2,000 annually).
Additional hotel stay bonus ranging from £250 to £1,500 per quarter.
Accrued overnight stay bonus plus company bonus scheme.
Company laptop provided.
Phone reimbursement.
Pension scheme.
All business travel expenses covered, including mileage allowance.
