Technical Support Scientist
Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Support Scientist to provide expert scientific and technical support across our client’s life science portfolio, combining troubleshooting, instrumentation support, demonstrations, and customer engagement. Working closely with researchers and laboratory professionals, you will help customers maximise the performance of their instruments and applications through practical, hands-on technical expertise.

Role Requirements
Provide scientific and technical support to customers via phone, email, and live chat, helping resolve complex application and instrumentation queries.
Troubleshoot customer issues relating to instruments, workflows, and scientific applications, delivering practical and effective solutions.
Conduct instrument demonstrations, maintenance activities, servicing, and basic repairs to ensure reliable system performance.
Support customer workshops, training sessions, and proof-of-principle activities, helping users gain confidence in products and applications.
Coordinate laboratory readiness for demonstrations, evaluations, and customer visits, ensuring equipment and resources are prepared effectively.
Collaborate closely with internal commercial and technical teams to deliver customer support projects and maintain a high standard of customer experience.
Person Specifications
Our client is looking for a motivated and scientifically credible individual who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Suitable backgrounds include:
PhD-qualified candidates with some postdoctoral experience.
Recent PhD graduates seeking to apply their scientific expertise in a customer-facing environment.
BSc-qualified scientists with significant hands-on laboratory experience.
You should be comfortable communicating complex scientific information, troubleshooting technical challenges, and building productive relationships with customers and colleagues.
