Operations Manager
Role Overview
This is a pivotal operational leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient running of the UK business. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee key business functions including HR, finance, purchasing, IT, facilities, quality management, legal compliance, health and safety, and business support operations.
You will play an important role in maintaining operational excellence, supporting healthcare customers and internal stakeholders through robust processes, effective governance, and a strong focus on quality. The position combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational management, ensuring the business continues to deliver a reliable and professional service within a regulated medical devices environment.

Role Requirements
Manage the day-to-day operational functions of the business, ensuring effective oversight of finance administration, payroll, pensions, benefits, purchasing processes, asset management, and relationships with external accounting providers.
Oversee outsourced IT services, including hardware and software procurement, system upgrades, telephony, mobile devices, cybersecurity initiatives, and supplier management to ensure reliable business operations.
Lead, coach, and support the administrative team through performance management, training, development, appraisals, and day-to-day supervision, ensuring continuity and high standards of service.
Ensure company-wide compliance and governance through the management of contracts, insurance policies, legal documentation, reporting obligations, and relationships with external advisers and regulatory bodies.
Coordinate HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employment documentation, training, employee relations, absence management, and benefits administration.
Maintain and develop the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, overseeing audits, compliance documentation, continuous improvement initiatives, facilities management, health and safety processes, business continuity planning, and site operations.
Person Specifications
3+ years’ experience within an Operations Manager or similar operational leadership role.
Generalist HR knowledge and experience supporting people-related processes.
Working understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to build trusted relationships across multiple business functions.
Desirable Experience:
Experience working with ISO 9001 quality standards.
CIPD qualified or part-qualified.
Previous people management and team leadership experience.

£50,000-£60,000 base salary
