Role Overview
Join an established technical services team as a Field Service Engineer, supporting advanced diagnostic instrumentation across the Midlands. You will take ownership of the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of laboratory diagnostic systems, helping NHS and clinical laboratories maximise equipment performance and reliability.

Role Requirements
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, calibration, and servicing of advanced diagnostic instrumentation to maximise system performance and reliability.
Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults, providing effective technical support and troubleshooting for laboratory customers.
Install and commission new diagnostic systems, ensuring successful deployment and customer acceptance.
Maintain accurate service documentation, technical reports, and effective management of spare parts and company equipment.
Build trusted relationships with laboratory and healthcare professionals through responsive, high-quality technical support.
Participate in an occasional weekend telephone support rota while effectively managing service activities across your regional territory.
Person Specifications
Previous Field Service Engineering experience supporting electrical, electronic or electromechanical equipment.
Background within IVD/Diagnostics, Medical Devices, Scientific Instrumentation, Laboratory Equipment, or Military Engineering highly desirable.
Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience carrying out installations, preventative maintenance and repairs.
Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
Able to work independently and manage a regional territory.
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete technical documentation accurately.
Engineering qualification (Electrical, Electronic, Biomedical or similar) advantageous.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Package
£45,000 to £50,000 basic salary – up to £52,000 for exceptional candidates.
10% annual bonus.
Tesla or Polestar company vehicle.
