Junior Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
We are looking for candidates who aspire to become diagnostic imaging engineers to join
the Field Service Engineer apprentice program. Working as a Junior Field Service Engineer
(JFSE) , selected candidates begin this 4-6 month paid training program with hands-on
and classroom training in a state-of-the-art facility in Concord, NC, followed by extensive on
the job (OTJ) training with seasoned engineers in various healthcare settings. Milestones are
assessed along the way to ensure JFSEs are prepared to become diagnostic imaging Field Service
Engineers upon completion of the program, responsible for providing top-level service at customer
sites, hospitals, and service centers within an assigned territory. Assigned territory will be
Houston, TX area.

Role Requirements
Assists in performing planned preventive maintenance, calibrations, repairs, and inspections
on imaging equipment
Follows procedures and technical support instructions, using specialized test equipment,
tools, and manufacturer’s service documentation to safely implement repairs and other
service activities
Assists in troubleshooting, inspecting, and testing equipment to determine course of action
Performs repairs by replacing defective components and using appropriate tools and
measuring instruments
Gain specialized knowledge and training to perform system calibrations within area of learned
expertise
Tests and calibrates equipment at regular or required intervals to maintain operational
efficiency and manufacturer’s operational specifications
Operates specialized test equipment as necessary to conduct analysis and perform simple
repairs
Coordinates with supervisor, Field Service Engineers, and equipment operators to resolve
equipment related issues
Complies with policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per ISO
13485:2016 standards and the Company’s Quality Management System
Performs other duties as assigned
Person Specifications
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
2 or 4-year college degree in Biomedical or electronics preferred or equivalent in experience
Working toward certification and training in one or more Imaging modalities is desired
