Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer (FSE) to deliver exceptional technical support and customer training throughout the Northeast Region (MD, DE, NJ, PA, NY, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME). In this client-facing role, you’ll install, maintain, and service a wide range of laboratory systems while building long-term relationships with users in both scientific and industrial settings.

Role Requirements
Perform on-site installations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and user training across a range of laboratory systems, averaging 16 service visits per month.
Maintain accurate service records, submit documentation promptly, and adhere to travel and cost-efficiency policies.
Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and professional support, ensuring high service standards.
Identify opportunities for upgrades, consumables, accessories, or service plans to support business growth.
Develop and maintain expertise across all product lines, staying current with updates and industry trends.
Collaborate with internal teams by sharing client feedback and service insights to drive improvement and innovation.
Person Specifications
3+ years in a field service role within laboratory equipment, scientific instrumentation, or related technical industries.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Northeast Region, with up to 4 on-site client visits per week.
Strong electromechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and explain complex systems clearly.
Familiarity with chemistry-based applications (inorganic/organic) is highly desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of delivering technical content in a user-friendly way.
Self-motivated and able to manage a dynamic schedule with minimal supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is a plus.
