Pfizer chief financial officer resigns
Pfizer has announced that its chief financial officer Alan Levin has resigned from his position in order to continue his career outside of the firm
The company reports that during his tenure, Mr Levin’s role in overseeing treasury and finance business saw him serve with distinction, while his efforts in transforming these operations into centres of excellence brought a wide understanding of global finance and integrity to the firm.
Furthermore, Pfizer reports that Mr Levin’s efforts in the firm’s share repurchase programme and enhanced dividend have seen the company successfully boost its financial strength.
Mr Levin has agreed to continue in his role as chief financial officer while Pfizer seeks a replacement in order to facilitate a smooth transition to his successor.
“With a strong finance organization in place and after 20 years of service with Pfizer, I feel that now is the appropriate time for me to explore career opportunities outside of the company,” said Mr Levin.
He added that he retained his profound respect for the Pfizer and anticipates its ongoing future success.
Also this week, Pfizer announced that its president of global research and development at the firm, John LaMattina, would resign from this position by the end of the year.
