What qualifications are needed for a career in the Life Science industry?
For a Life Science job, a minimum of a life science/ scientific degree is required. Once you have this, you’re good to go!
For a sales or marketing role in Life Science a PHD/Bachelor’s degree is often required. For a product manager role, you will often need both a degree and experience with a Scientific product as part of wither a sales or marketing function. Then higher level managerial roles will require previous experience in commercial function too.
What soft skills are important for success in this field?
Communication is a big one to consider, having strong interpersonal skills and networking abilities.
Doing your research on the company or portfolio in advance of the interview shows you have the self-starter mentality which is highly valued in this field.
