Field Service Engineer

Werfen UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide structured technical support and preventative maintenance across IVD systems in the South East. In this field-based role, you will take ownership of system performance within your region, ensuring diagnostic instrumentation operates reliably and in line with service standards. Your focus will be on preventative maintenance, accurate fault diagnosis, and delivering consistent, high-quality technical support to laboratory environments.

Role Requirements
Provide technical support across a range of IVD systems within the South East territory.
Diagnose, repair, and test faulty instrumentation to restore operational performance.
Carry out installations and perform IQ/OQ procedures in line with regulatory standards.
Complete scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure ongoing system reliability.
Work collaboratively with technical and product teams to resolve complex issues.
Maintain accurate service documentation and manage local spare parts inventory.
Person Specifications
Background as an ex-military engineer, IVD/diagnostic engineer, or medical/life sciences engineer.
Strong technical competence within engineering or scientific disciplines.
Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills suited to laboratory environments.
Strong IT capability, planning, and organisational skills.
Flexibility to travel, including occasional international trips.
