Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
You will act as the first line of engineering support within your territory, taking ownership of installations, fault resolution, and ongoing system reliability.
This role is focused on maintaining high-performance diagnostic instrumentation within hospital laboratories. You will work independently across NHS and private sites, ensuring systems are installed correctly, maintained to specification, and returned to full operational status with minimal disruption to laboratory workflow.

Role Requirements
Installation and commissioning of diagnostic instrumentation within laboratory environments.
Servicing, breakdown repair, and structured fault diagnosis to restore system performance.
Completion of preventative maintenance activities as required.
Technical support across key NHS and private laboratory clients (approximately 90% NHS / 10% private).
Working across the full Werfen product portfolio as required.
Person Specifications
Engineering experience in repair and maintenance environments.
Background as an ex-military engineer, diagnostic engineer, medical engineer, or scientific engineer.
Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding capability.
Excellent attitude and work ethic, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
Comfortable with regular UK travel and overnight stays when required.
Strong communication skills suited to NHS-facing laboratory environments.
