GenoLogics in Illumina partnership

26th June 2007

GenoLogics has revealed it is to partner with Illumina to provide technology for a bioinformatics software program.

The firm is to help with the development of IlluminaConnect, which aims to increase levels of data integration throughout the scientific community.

Under the agreement, GenoLogics is to build support for Illumina’s systems into its own Geneus platform for laboratory information management.

Jason Wilson, product manager at GenoLogics, predicts that the collaboration "will enable our customers with gene expression and genotyping applications to tie their data together".

"We will work closely with Illumina to ensure we develop seamless integrations that provide end-to-end solutions for researchers," he adds.

Meanwhile, Michael Ball, chief executive officer of GenoLogics, suggested that strategic partnerships allow the firm to extend its areas of operation to provide complete solutions for translational medicine and systems biology.

The firm claims that Geneus may be effective in elevating operational efficiency, productivity and robustness.ADNFCR-1050-ID-18191536-ADNFCR
