SCA declares growth in American market
SCA has declared that it predicts continued growth for its hygiene products in the American market, compromising of North, Central and South America.
The company stated that it expected to see growth at around 5-7 per cent in the next few years as its leading brands continue to establish themselves in the American markets.
SCA America’s management presented their strategy for growth at a capital market day in New York this week and confirmed that there would also be opportunities for selective acquisitions.
Thomas Wulkan, president of SCA Americas, confirmed the strength of SCA’s product portfolio: “In Colombia, for example, our brands for tissue (Familia) and feminine care (Nosotras) outperform some of the best-known brands in the world in terms of awareness and recognition.”
He went on to confirm that the company had built up their strong position locally, often through joint-ventures and the company now had the platform to establish SCA in new markets in the region.
In its home region of the US, SCA has established itself as a leading player within AFH tissue, with the company hoping to increase the value of its product and services in the well established restaurant and commercial sector.
SCA is a global consumer goods company that markets personal care products such as incontinence and feminine care products, nappies and tissues.
