PerkinElmer launches protein analysis and imaging portfolio

PerkinElmer has announced the introduction of five new products to cope with demand for quantitative protein analysis and imaging systems.

The firm asserts that new Phos-tag Gold and Phos-tag Enrich are additions to its range of phosphorylation analysis reagents that offer a high level of selectivity and sensitivity.

ExacTag S and ExacTag Analysis Software version 3.0 are added to the company’s range of multiplex platforms for quantitative protein expression profiling through mass spectrometry, it states.

Lastly, the Geliance 1000 Imaging System supplements the Geliance range of bio-imaging systems offered by PerkinElmer.

Robert F Friel, president and chief operating officer, said: "PerkinElmer’s investment into advancing protein analysis and imaging technologies demonstrates our ability to interpret researchers’ needs and to respond with solutions that enable greater productivity and a new level of insight into complex samples."

Earlier this month, PerkinElmer announced the acquisition of biotechnology firm Viacell.
