Schering-Plough Animal Health expert to give presentation
Ken Fallows, a business development manager for Schering-Plough Animal Health is to speak at the up and coming workshop at Reaseheath College in Nantwich on Tuesday.
The event is being run by the agricultural department at the college and will include talks from Mr Fallows and veterinary adviser John Hughes on tackling and controlling pneumonia, This Is Cheshire reported.
Schering-Plough Animal Health is sponsoring the event and its expert will discuss both the prevention and the cure of the disease.
Mr Fallows said preventing pneumonia helps improve animal welfare and also maximise revenue.
“Treating pneumonia can be immensely costly and time consuming but it is largely preventable by having good ventilation and high standards of animal husbandry,” he told the publication.
Schering-Plough Animal Health offers products for both farm and companion animals. It specialises in biologicals, anti-parasiticides, prostaglandins, antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.
The company acquired Aquaculture Vaccines in 2002.
