Caliper Life Sciences has reported its first-quarter sales for 2008 showed growth of three per cent from the previous year.
The firm enjoyed revenue of $29.3 million (£15 million) during the first three months of this year compared to $28.4 million in the same period in 2007.
According to the firm, its net loss between January and March 2008 was some $9.9 million.
Kevin Hrusovsky, president and chief executive of the firm, said the firm had achieved a strong product revenue performance that offsetted an anticipated loss from licensing revenue.
"We are delivering double digit revenue growth in products and services, particularly imaging, as we broaden our reach beyond our strong presence in oncology," he added.
Meanwhile, last month the firm announced it was working with DiscoverRx Corporation to offer solutions for cell-based profiling.
The organisation claims to be a leading provider of cutting-edge technologies that enable life sciences researchers to create medicines and diagnostic tests quicker.
