Randox launches analyser

Randox has launched a new semi-automated analyser using its Biochip Array Technology.

The international diagnostics organisation’s Evidence Investigator boasts to be a "revolution in diagnostics" and aims to maximise laboratory throughput.

It has a throughput of 162 samples per hour multiplied by the number of tests performed per biochip.

A company statement said: "This analyser is CE marked and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved, so offers high standard, quality testing. The Evidence Investigator is suitable for use in a wide variety of settings, such as multiplexing for use in research, pharmaceutical and veterinary areas."

The firm claims an extensive range of arrays can run on the analyser including cardiac, cytokine, cerebral and tumour monitoring.

Randox was founded in 1982 by Dr Peter Fitzgerald and now claims to be a multi-million pound business employing 600 people, including 185 research scientists.

It recently claimed its new ELISA kit offers fast, simple and reliable drug residue screening.
