Straumann backs dentist education site

Staumann, the dental implant and tissue regeneration specialist, has backed the establishment of a new dentistry education website.

The Switzerland-based company is working with the International Team for Implantology (ITI) from the UK and Ireland to offer a new resource for the oral healthcare industry.

It is intended that the online resource will be used by clinicians if they feel the need to brush up on their knowledge of dental implant procedures and by anyone within the industry looking to access relevant training courses.

A joint statement from the ITI and Staumann said the website: “Incorporates a fresh look and feel that reflects their dedication to continuing education in implant dentistry.”

Products and services supplied by Staumann can be accessed in 60 countries around the world and the company currently employs close to 2,000 people.

According to the firm, the field of implant dentistry is an “exciting and rewarding discipline” in which to be involved.
