Nalco has announced it has appointed a new executive vice-president who will also head the firm’s industrial and institutional services division.
As of August 19th, David E Flitman will begin his role as chief of the global provider of integrated water treatment and process improvement services organisation.
Mr Flitman is currently president of Allegheny Power, the energy arm of Allegheny Energy – an investor-owned utility which provides electricity to more than 1.5 million US customers employing 2,600 staff and enjoying annual revenues of three billion dollars (1.5 billion pounds).
Mary Kay Kaufmann will be named Nalco’s group vice-president and chief marketing officer, while Louis L Loosbruck will be appointed group vice-president for business development on the same day.
Last month the firm has appointed the winner at the 2008 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award for the ‘greener reaction conditions’.
Nalco also won the accolade in 1999 for its Ultimer polymers.
