Forest Laboratories announces investor relations appointment

Forest Laboratories has this week named Frank Murdolo in the role of vice-president of investor relations at the company.

He joins the firm from GlaxoSmithKline where he spent 11 years in a similar position, with overall responsibility for managing the North American investor relations programme.

Previously, Mr Murdolo worked at Schering-Plough as director of investor relations for six years.

Frank Perier Jr, senior vice-president of finance and chief financial officer at Forest Laboratories, said: “We are very pleased to have a person with Frank Murdolo’s extensive experience with both the financial community and the pharmaceutical industry join Forest as the company’s principal external spokesperson.”

He added that Mr Murdolo’s experience, knowledge and reputation will be of great value to the firm as it looks to grow and build its product pipeline.

In July 2008, Forest Laboratories reported first-quarter revenues of $966.8 million (484.3 million pounds), representing a 4.2 per cent year-on-year rise on the same period last year.
