Amgen schedules date for financial results
Amgen has announced it has planned a date to announce its 2008 fourth-quarter and full-year financial data.
Scheduled to take place on January 26th – following the close of the financial markets – the meeting will be accompanied with a conference call.
Taking part in the discussion will be members of Amgen’s senior management staff, including its chairman and chief executive officer Kevin Sharer.
Live audio of the conference call will be available on the company’s website and will last for approximately an hour.
It will be available up to 72 hours after the event.
Last month, the company said a study of Nplate (romiplostim) in adult patients – who were suffering from chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura – found the product increased and sustain platelet counts.
Commenting on the results, chief of hermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston David Kuter said people with the condition had “limited availability to long term treatment options”.
