Ansell stresses importance of educating healthcare community

Ansell has asserted it is now more important than ever to provide the healthcare community with easily accessible educational resources.

Werner Heintz, regional director of the company’s European healthcare division, made this comment after the European Operating Room Nurses Association (EORNA) accepted the AnsellCares courses.

Nurses can access the material and tests online and final results will be certified by the EORNA’s Accreditation Council for Education.

Mr Heintz explained the training scheme highights the company’s commitment to support the global healthcare community.

“In today’s volatile and challenging times, it is [?] important for the industry to provide easy to access educational resources, so that the available resources can secure the quality standards of protection,” he remarked.

President of EORNA Irini Antoniadou added the organisation fully supports the “high quality” and “thoroughness” of the training programmes.

Last week, Ansell closed a five million share buy-back programme, which began in April 2008.

The company said the programme was to accumulate cash for acquisitions.
