GlaxoSmithKline ‘top employer of over-50s’

GlaxoSmithKline, which produces a range of dental products and owns the Sensodyne and Aquafresh brands, has been named one of the best companies for employees over the age of 50.

The list of Best Employers for Workers Over 50, which is compiled by non-profit, non-partisan membership organisation AARP, highlighted GlaxoSmithKline’s Prime Time Partners Network for employees of this age group.

Benefits of this initiative include various programmes addressing financial and retirement planning, career development networking opportunities and healthcare.

“GlaxoSmithKline is committed to supporting the goals and challenges of our multi-generational workforce and providing an environment which supports inclusion and diversity,” explained Belinda Shannon, vice-president of compliance, equal employment opportunities and diversity at the firm.

Last week, the company launched a new product onto the dental healthcare market – Iso-Active Foaming Gel, which turns into foam when it enters the mouth.
