Burson-Marsteller picks up two PRCA Awards
Burson-Marsteller was named as a winner in two categories at the recent Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) Awards in London.
Held at the Marriott Hotel in Mayfair, the event saw Burson-Masteller pick up the Public Affairs gong, while the agency’s Amanda Pierce took the prize for Consultant of the Year.
Other winners on the night included the Mischief, Weber Shandwick and Threepipe agencies, which each went home with three awards.
Commenting on the high standard of work on show at the ceremony, PRCA director general Francis Ingham said: “Our industry is privileged to have such talent and creativity.
“The quality of entries, from both agency and in-house communications teams, has never been higher and shows the sophistication of PR.”
Earlier this year, Burson-Marsteller won a Hollis Sponsorship Award for its work with Sony Ericsson on the 2008 WTA Tour Championships.
Founded in 1969, the PRCA works to raise standards in the industry and saw growth of 33 per cent during 2008.
