BD launches new Influx Cell Sorting System
BD has released a new seven-laser flow cytometry system which is designed to allow life science researchers to sort cells in a flexible and efficient way.
The new BD Influx Cell Sorting System offers two-way, four-way and six-way sorting thanks to its modular design and range of different modes, meaning it can be adapted to meet a wide range of research needs.
It also incorporates parallel electronics to achieve a throughput rate of 200,000 events per second, while the accompanying software will allow data to be organised and visualised in a number of ways.
James Glasscock, president of cell analysis at BD Biosciences, said this new system will meet increased demand for flexible cell sorting systems.
He added: “The new BD Influx System rises to that challenge and is already in use in a leading institution performing advanced cell research.”
Last month, BD published its financial report for the first quarter, in which the company experienced year-on-year revenue growth thanks in part to strong bioscience product sales.
