Anachem launches easy-to-use Rainin microtubes

Anachem has announced the launch of a new range of microtube products which are easier and more comfortable to use than alternative models.

The new Rainin LiteTouch 1.7ml micro-centrifuge tube has been designed with a special hinge and tab mechanism which allows it to be opened one-handed via the application of light pressure.

According to the manufacturer, this eliminates the risk of sore thumbs and hand fatigue, while also reducing the danger of contamination by ensuring that hands do not touch the open mouth of the tube.

Anachem explained: "The unique way of opening LiteTouch tubes virtually eliminates the risk of cross-contamination of gloves, pipettes and your sample."

Other advantages provided by the Rainin tube include its durable, chemically-resistant homopolymer design and frosted writing surface for ease of labelling.

This comes after the firm launched a new Rainin pipette last month, which adds an ergonomic finger hook and reduced plunger forces for added comfort.
