Sempermed helps to drive Semperit growth in 2010
Sempermed product sales have been credited as playing a key role in the double-digit year-on-year growth experienced by the Semperit group during the year to date.
The company has published its financial report for the first nine months of 2010, during which it generated total revenue of 519.3 million euros (444.3 million pounds), up by 17.3 percent on the corresponding period of last year.
Its Sempermed unit was hailed as a strong growth driver following its 20.3 percent expansion during the three quarters, while the Semperflex and Semperform divisions also saw advances in revenue.
Semperit expects these results to underpin a "satisfactory" performance for the year as a whole, despite the persistence of difficult economic conditions.
"The recovery in demand which became apparent in the second quarter in the cyclical business divisions should continue to ensure good capacity utilisation at all production locations," the company added.
This week, Semperit is attending the Medica industry conference in Dusseldorf, where it is exhibiting new Sempermed surgical glove offerings.
