Future Science Group launches Clinical Investigation journal

Future Science Group has announced the launch of a new medical journal that will provide extensive coverage of the methodology, progress and outcomes of clinical trials.

The publisher has introduced Clinical Investigation, a monthly peer-reviewed journal aimed at investigators, clinicians, medical affairs professionals and industry decision makers.

Clinical Investigation provides a critical review of new developments and trends at all levels of clinical research, from phase I through to post-marketing studies, as well as covering all therapeutic areas.

It is designed to provide wide-ranging yet concise information, while also offering an outlet for the publication of new drug data from human studies.

Professor E Michael Lewiecki, Clinical Investigation's senior editor, said: "Clinical Investigation is an excellent addition to the Future Science journal collection. [It] fulfils an unmet need in providing critical review of objectives and outcomes of clinical trials."

The launch issue of the journal has been published this month and includes a guest editorial from Dr Jeffrey Weitz and Dr John Eikelboom of Canada's McMaster University.
