Quintiles appoints customer solutions head

Quintiles has appointed healthcare sector veteran Vincent Aurentz as executive vice-president of its newly-formed customer solutions business.

The new unit has been created in order to deliver customised solutions and strategies for biopharmaceutical clients, covering Quintiles' clinical, commercial, capital and consulting businesses.

Mr Aurentz will bring considerable industry expertise to this new team, as he has worked in the sector for more than 20 years, most recently as executive vice-president of portfolio development at Merck Serono.

He stated that the customer solutions business will play a vital role in helping Quintiles clients to make "transformational changes" to their operational approaches.

"I look forward to playing a part in bringing all the services of Quintiles to solve the needs of our customers," Mr Aurentz added.

Last month, Quintiles announced a new alliance with the not-for-profit pharmacogenetics expert London Genetics in order to augment the quality of its drug discovery and development services.
