Porter Novelli appoints two new directors

Porter Novelli has continued the restructuring of its management team with the appointment of two new directors.

The media agency has named Helen Nowicka as head of UK social media and digital and EMEA digital operations, while Bettina Grant has joined as director of the consumer practice, reports PRWeek.

Ms Nowicka will leave her role as managing director of Shiny Red to join the team in March 2011, while former freelance PR consultant Ms Grant has already been operating in her new position for more than a week.

Sally Ward, Porter Novelli's UK managing director, said: "We have upgraded every vacant role with a more senior hire or additional skills. It's a recruitment strategy which will put the business in better shape for 2011."

In November 2010, the company unveiled a new corporate identity, a move which involved the introduction of a fresh logo and colour scheme for the firm's branding.
