Virbac appoints senior technical manager

Virbac Animal Health has selected veterinary sector veteran Heidi Lobprise as its new senior technical manager.

Ms Lobprise brings more than 25 years of experience to the company and most recently spent seven years with Pfizer Animal Health, where she occupied the role of senior veterinary specialist on its veterinary specialty team.

Before this, she worked for two decades in private practice, specialising in the field of animal dentistry.

In her new role at Virbac, she will be responsible for the management of technical projects within the marketing department, while she will also be tasked with developing relationships with opinion leaders.

Monique Schwartz, vice-president of marketing at Virbac, said her experiences "give her a unique insight into the veterinarian's perspective, one we are looking for in order to better serve the veterinary community".

Last month, the company launched Remend Corneal Repair Drops, a new corneal ulcer treatment designed for domestic cats and dogs.
