GlaxoSmithKline to reimburse tuition fees for undergraduate recruits

4th March 2011

GlaxoSmithKline has announced plans to fully reimburse UK undergraduate recruits for their tuition fees in a bid to attract talent to the company.

The payments will cover 100 percent of the new uncapped tuition fees, with reimbursement offered to those that remain with the firm for a minimum of two years.

Currently, GlaxoSmithKline recruits between 50 and 100 undergraduate students from various disciplines annually, enrolling them onto its UK Graduate Training Programmes or offering them other roles at the organisation.

This new measure is planned for introduction in September 2012 to coincide with the implementation of uncapped tuition fees, which will be debuting in the same month, according to the government's timeline.

A statement from the firm said: "The company believes these measures will help ensure that GlaxoSmithKline remains a highly desirable place for graduates to consider working upon leaving university."

Last week, GlaxoSmithKline was honoured for its commitment to corporate sustainability when it was presented with an Environmental Stewardship Award from Nalco.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800442828-ADNFCR
