Merck Millipore launches certified bottled water for lab use

31st May 2011

Merck Millipore has launched a new range of bottled water products with certified quality for use in scientific research applications.

The company is offering sterilised water that has been produced in an ISO 9001/cGMP environment for use in cell culture and molecular biology experiments, with both types having been tested to ensure they are free of relevant contaminants.

Using a proprietary process, the ultrapure water is produced without the need for toxic chemicals and aseptically filled into sterile containers, with each bottle delivered with a certificate of quality.

All bottles also come with duplicate labels for ease of traceability, with space provided on the packaging for the date of opening to be written down by researchers.

Jean-Francois Pilette, lab water group product manager at Merck Millipore, said: "We expect researchers who need small volumes of ultrapure water for their cell culture or molecular biology work to fully benefit from these new products."

Earlier this month, the company announced the launch of a new selection of customised water purification systems to meet the needs of individual laboratories.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800562003-ADNFCR
