Kimberly-Clark appoints new director
Kimberly-Clark has announced that Fabian Garcia is to join its board of directors as of the beginning of September 2011.
Mr Garcia has been chosen for the role based on his strong record of brand building and international experience in the health and personal care sectors.
He has been an employee of dental products manufacturer Colgate-Palmolive since 2003, currently serving as its chief operating officer for global innovation and growth in Europe.
Prior to this, he also occupied positions at Procter and Gamble, Timberland and Channel Asia Pacific.
Craig Sullivan, chair of the board's nominating and corporate governance committee, said: "Fabian will be a great addition to our board given his broad range of multicultural experiences and strong leadership capabilities."
Earlier this month, Kimberly-Clark announced that it is embarking on a new programme of sustainability improvements between now and 2015 that will see it reduce its water use and emissions, while minimising the green impact of packaging.
