Biohit to launch elbow pad for pipetting procedures

Biohit has announced the release of a new ergonomic elbow rest for use in pipetting and other work requiring high concentration.

The Biohit Elbow Pad is composed of a viscoelastic material that accommodates all body shapes, allowing researchers to adopt a more comfortable position when conducting a long pipetting series or micro plate work.

Its compact size means that it can be readily accommodated on desks of various sizes, while it can also be cleaned easily using ethanol or Biohit Biocontrol decontamination solution.

According to the manufacturer, this new product will help users to avoid their hands and shoulders becoming tired, while also relieving contact stress and improving working posture.

"The Elbow Pad is a solution to more relaxed and ergonomic work," Biohit said.

Last month, the company launched its new eLINE pipette, an electronic system that can be used to improve the speed and precision of pipetting, while eliminating avoidable errors.
