Molnlycke publishes new review of Safetac wound care benefits

12th October 2011

Molnlycke has announced the publication of a new report that demonstrates the benefits its Safetac technology can offer in wound care applications.

The review – compiled by the company's clinical and scientific information manager Phil Davies and medical marketing director Mark Rippon – has highlighted a range of clinical and economic advantages to the technology.

It notes that Safetac is able to promote wound environments that are conducive to healing, while aiding positive patient-centred outcomes such as the avoidance of tissue trauma and dressing-related pain.

According to the manufacturer, this shows the dressing innovation's usefulness in meeting key requirements faced by healthcare providers and health professionals in an array of clinical disciplines.

The company said Safetac can "address the challenges presented by a wide range of wound types and skin injuries".

Last month, the firm spoke in support of a new paper in the American Journal of Infection Control, which highlighted the potential risk for patient infection caused by reusable staff clothes in a healthcare setting.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800756238-ADNFCR
